DESIGNER COMMENT ワンピースが少し苦手、という方にも着ていただきたいと考えてデザインしたシャツワンピースです。 裾に向かって大きく広げず、身幅や肩まわりもすっきりと見えるバランスに整えました。女性らしさを強調するのではなく、シャツをそのまま長くしたような端正さを意識しています。 デザインはできるだけ引き算し、生地そのものが持つ織りの特徴を活かしました。前を閉じて一枚で着るほか、ボタンを開けて羽織としても着用できます。 襟元は、ジャケットを重ねたときの見え方まで考えて設計。ジャケットの中から襟が覗いたときにも収まりがよく、首まわりが美しく見えるようバランスを取っています。 ワンピースとして完結させるだけでなく、パンツやスカートと合わせて、シャツや羽織の延長として取り入れられる一着として作りました。 We designed this shirt dress for those who may not usually feel drawn to dresses. Rather than flaring out significantly toward the hem, we kept the proportions clean and streamlined through the body and shoulders. Instead of emphasizing femininity, we focused on the crisp, understated character of a shirt simply extended into a longer silhouette. The design is intentionally pared back to let the distinctive woven texture of the fabric take center stage. Wear it buttoned up as a dress, or leave it open and wear it as a lightweight layer. The collar was designed with layering in mind as well. We carefully considered how it would sit beneath a jacket, ensuring that the collar falls neatly and frames the neckline beautifully when it peeks out. Rather than creating a piece that works only as a dress, we wanted it to feel like an extension of a shirt or outer layer—something you can easily wear with trousers or a skirt, too. FABRIC Dobby Lace Stripe / Cotton 100 % レースのような軽やかな表情を、織りによって表現したコットン素材です。先染めシャツ生地の産地として知られる新潟にて 製織・加工を行っています。緯糸に追撚(さらに撚りを加える加工)を施し、その後ワッシャー加工を行うことで、経糸と緯糸 の収縮差によって生地に自然な凹凸を生み出しています。その凹凸によって生まれる繊細な表情が、まるでレースのような軽やかな印象を与えます。レースのように見えながらも、あくまで織りによって表現された素材であり、コットンならではの軽さと扱いやすさを併せ持っています。FAKE は模倣ではなく、新しい表現のひとつ。それは「 本物とは何か 」を、自分自身や社会に問いかけるテーマでもあります。 A lightweight cotton fabric with a delicate, lace-like appearance, created entirely through weaving. The fabric is woven and finished in Niigata, a region known for its production of yarn-dyed shirting fabrics. The weft yarns are given an additional twist before the fabric undergoes a washer finish. The difference in shrinkage between the warp and weft yarns creates a natural, uneven texture across the surface. These subtle undulations give the fabric its delicate character and a lightness reminiscent of lace. Yet unlike lace, the effect is created entirely through the weaving process, combining an intricate appearance with the lightness, durability, and easy care that only cotton can offer. FAKE is not about imitation, but about creating a new form of expression.
