スケートボードのデッキとして役目を終えた木材を、新たな形へと生まれ変わらせた作品。幾重にも重なる木材の色や柄を活かしながら、折る、切る、貼る、削るという工程を繰り返し、一つひとつ丁寧に制作されています。スケートボードならではの鮮やかな色と木の表情が重なり、どの角度から見ても異なる表情を楽しめる作品です。

These unique works are created from reclaimed skateboard decks that have reached the end of their life as skateboards.
Taking full advantage of the layers of color and grain found in the wood, each piece is carefully crafted through a repeated process of bending, cutting, gluing, and sanding. The vibrant colors characteristic of skateboards blend beautifully with the natural textures of wood, creating works that reveal a different expression from every angle.

Based in Mie, Japan, Tomoyuki Takeuchi creates original works from discarded skateboard decks. His distinctive use of color and unconventional designs give each piece a unique character and presence.
