DESIGNER COMMENT Dhalでは定番として作り続けている、豆柄のバンダナです。 ブランド名の「Dhal」は、豆を意味する言葉。Dhalの洋服が、着る人にとって日々のエネルギー源のような存在になれば、という思いから名付けました。 その名前をそのまま柄にしたのが、この豆バンダナです。遠目にはひとつの柄として見え、近くで見ると一つひとつが豆。一般的なバンダナとは少し違う、Dhalらしい一枚になりました。 首元に巻いたり、バッグに結んだり、スタイリングのアクセントとして。毎シーズンの服とは少し違い、ブランドの始まりを変わらず持ち続けるような存在として作っています。 今季は、白地に赤と青の2色をご用意しました。 懐かしさを感じる色で作りました。子供に持たせるようなバンダナに仕上がって、大変満足しています。 The bean-pattern bandana has been a Dhal staple for years. The name “Dhal” means beans. We chose it with the hope that Dhal clothing would become something like a daily source of energy for the people who wear it. This bandana takes that name and turns it directly into a pattern. From a distance, it reads as a single graphic motif; look closer, and you’ll find individual beans. It’s a little different from a traditional bandana, and has become a piece that feels distinctly Dhal. Wear it around your neck, tie it to your bag, or use it as a simple accent to complete an outfit. Unlike our seasonal clothing, the bean bandana is made to remain a constant—something that carries the spirit of where the brand began. This season, it comes in two colors, red and blue, both set against a white ground. We chose shades with a nostalgic feel, and are especially happy with the result—it turned out just like the kind of bandana you might have given to a child. FABRIC Dobby Lace Stripe / Cotton 100 % レースのような軽やかな表情を、織りによって表現したコットン素材です。先染めシャツ生地の産地として知られる新潟にて 製織・加工を行っています。緯糸に追撚(さらに撚りを加える加工)を施し、その後ワッシャー加工を行うことで、経糸と緯糸 の収縮差によって生地に自然な凹凸を生み出しています。その凹凸によって生まれる繊細な表情が、まるでレースのような軽やかな印象を与えます。レースのように見えながらも、あくまで織りによって表現された素材であり、コットンならではの軽さと扱いやすさを併せ持っています。FAKE は模倣ではなく、新しい表現のひとつ。それは「 本物とは何か 」を、自分自身や社会に問いかけるテーマでもあります。 A lightweight cotton fabric with a delicate, lace-like appearance, created entirely through weaving. The fabric is woven and finished in Niigata, a region known for its production of yarn-dyed shirting fabrics. The weft yarns are given an additional twist before the fabric undergoes a washer finish. The difference in shrinkage between the warp and weft yarns creates a natural, uneven texture across the surface. These subtle undulations give the fabric its delicate character and a lightness reminiscent of lace. Yet unlike lace, the effect is created entirely through the weaving process, combining an intricate appearance with the lightness, durability, and easy care that only cotton can offer. FAKE is not about imitation, but about creating a new form of expression.
