STAFF COMMENT Dhalの定番レギュラーシャツをベースに、襟を大きく、台襟にも高さを持たせた新しい型です。襟の表にステッチを出さない仕立ても相まって、いつものレギュラーシャツより端正な顔つきに感じます。 身幅にはゆとりがありながら、肩まわりはすっきり。アームホールも大きめで着心地に窮屈さがなく、長めのカフスが、手元を凛とした印象に見せてくれます。ゆったりとしたシルエットを着ていると、気持ちにまで余裕が生まれるような気がします。 控えめな光沢のあるシャツに、ブラックデニムと黒のオールスターのハイカットを合わせて、気取らずに着るのも好きです。ジャケットとスラックスのセットアップに合わせるシャツとして選ぶのもいい。合わせるものによって表情が変わるところも、このシャツの面白さだと思います。 Based on Dhal’s signature Regular Shirt, this new style features an enlarged collar and a higher stand collar. Combined with a construction that keeps the stitching hidden on the outside of the collar, it has a more refined and polished appearance than our usual Regular Shirt. The body is generously proportioned, while the shoulders remain clean and streamlined. The larger armholes allow for comfortable, unrestricted movement, and the elongated cuffs give the hands a crisp, composed look. There’s something about wearing a relaxed silhouette that seems to create a little more room in the mind, too. We like wearing it casually with black denim and black high-top All Stars, letting the shirt’s subtle sheen speak for itself without making the outfit feel too dressed up. It also works beautifully with a jacket-and-trouser suit as a more refined shirting option. The way its character changes depending on what you pair it with is part of what makes this shirt so enjoyable. DESIGNER COMMENT 旧友であるWANDERUNGデザイナーの角末さんから「Dhalでドレスシャツを作ろうよ」と提案をいただいたことから生まれた、新しい型です。 Dhalにはこれまでなかったドレスシャツを、定番のレギュラーシャツをベースに考えました。身幅やシルエットは大きく変えず、台襟を出し、襟幅とカフス幅を大きくしています。襟腰も少し高くすることで、ドレスシャツらしい形に近づけました。 袖山を少し高くし、アームホールに向かって肩まわりをすっきりさせています。ストレッチのない生地でも窮屈になりすぎず、袖の収まりが良くなるよう調整しました。 This new style came about when our longtime friend and WANDERUNG designer, Arisa, suggested, “Let’s make a dress shirt for Dhal.” We developed a dress shirt that had never existed in the Dhal collection before, using our signature Regular Shirt as the starting point. Rather than significantly changing the body or overall silhouette, we raised the stand collar and enlarged both the collar and cuffs. The collar band is also slightly higher, bringing the shape closer to that of a traditional dress shirt. We raised the sleeve cap slightly and refined the shoulder area toward the armholes. This allows for a comfortable fit even in non-stretch fabrics, while helping the sleeves sit neatly and naturally. The result is a dress shirt that retains the familiar proportions of Dhal’s Regular Shirt while bringing a more refined, formal character to the silhouette. FABRIC Pima Cotton 100/2 Poplin / cotton100% 100/2のピマコットン双糸を使用した、上品なコットンポプリン素材です。ピマコットンは繊維が長く、しなやかで滑らかな肌触りを持つ高品質なコットンとして知られています。細番手の双糸を使用することで、生地に自然な光沢と整った表情を生み出しています。仕上げにはマイクロピーチ加工を施し、ポプリン特有のハリとコシを残しながらも、表面にわずかな柔らかさを加えています。さらに強度と反発性を持たせる加工により、従来のポプリンよりも凛とした美しい表情を持つ素材に仕上げています。上質な原料と加工によって生まれる、しなやかさと端正さを併せ持つシャツ素材です。 An elegant cotton poplin made from 100/2 Pima cotton, woven with two-ply yarns. Known for its long fibers, Pima cotton is a high-quality cotton prized for its supple, smooth feel. The use of fine two-ply yarn creates a natural luster and a clean, refined surface. A micro-peach finish adds a subtle softness to the surface while retaining the crispness and structure characteristic of poplin. An additional finishing process gives the fabric greater strength and resilience, resulting in a sharper, more beautifully defined appearance than conventional poplin. The combination of premium raw materials and considered finishing gives this shirting fabric a balance of suppleness and refined structure.
